We would like to inform you that the 6 th edition of International Puppet Theatre for Adults Festival – PIERROT will take place in the period 24 – 29 of September 2009 in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.

All traditional or experimental forms of theatrical expression in the area of puppet and visual theatre for adults are invited for participation. The festival has a competition character – a Jury of experts will award the “Grand Prix – PIERROT” , an award for experimental and new forms, acting awards, award for directing, award for scenography and music award.

Events like art exhibitions, open-air performances, discussions and other theatre events will also take place during the festival .

The festival will cover the companies accommodation expenses in Stara Zagora ( hotels and food ) and will pay performance fee which amount will be specified on individual basis.

In the attached file you can find an application form and detailed festival’s statute. In you are interested in participation, please fill in the application form and send it together with a video/VCD/ DVD, short description , and company’s information.

The deadline for sending applications is 15 December 2008 . The Selection Commission will chose the productions participating in the festival’s programme till the end of 15.01.2009

Lets’ make PIERROT 2009 a happening of puppetry art without limits .
